The concept of the new 2019 Toyota Avensis was revealed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March. Since then the Toyota fans have been waiting for this third-generation Avensis to hit the market and show what changes and updates we can expect this time in terms of appearance, interior and engine options.
The 2019 Toyota Avensis will be available in two configurations when it comes to body style – as a wagon and a sedan. We have not been sure yet if the new Avensis will keep the dimensions of its predecessor, but it will certainly get a longer wheelbase. The longer wheelbase and a bit extended front fascia would only improve the space and comfort inside the cabin of this model. Toyota will also use lightweight materials such as aluminum in building the chassis of this car in order to save some weight. Reduces weight will additionally enhance the fuel economy and efficiency of the new Avensis. This model will offer more elegant and refined exterior as well as better equipment options than its predecessor. It will be available in several trims, so the exterior features will depend on the trim you choose. In the front fascia, you will find a new radiator grille and a new set of LED headlights. The bumper will also be upgraded with larger air intakes in it. Depending on the trim once again, the new Avensis should be standing on 16-18-inch 5-spoke aluminum wheels.
Due to the longer wheelbase that we have already mentioned, the 2019 Toyota Avensis will definitely provide more space and comfort inside its cabin. There will be more legroom and headroom for your passengers. Toyota will also use better sound and vibration isolation so you can hope for a quieter cabin as well. The seats will be covered in high-quality fabric or fine leather, depending on the trim you decide upon. An improved and functional interior like this will also provide a panoramic sunroof and lots of updates in terms of technology. The driver will get a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 4.2-inch information display and an 8.0-inch touch-screen display with the latest infotainment system and options such as satellite navigation, dual-zone climate control, air conditioning, audio system, Bluetooth, USB and lots of safety features.
The 2019 Toyota Avensis will get three petrol options under the hood and probably two or three diesel options. The most discussed versions have been a brand-new 1.6-liter turbo-diesel that is expected to deliver 120-150 horsepower. The other one includes a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel that is expected to hit at least 124 horsepower. When it comes to transmission, Toyota will offer a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic and a CVT, depending on the engine option you choose. We expect more information soon.
