There are many expectations from possible 2019 Toyota Tundra since the last model has been made 2007 and then slightly redesigned 2014. As far we know, the manufacturer has not clearly demanded to exist of this model, but they also have not confirmed either. However, we have reasons to believe that new Tundra is on the market next year with many changes and upgrades.
There are many speculations about the design of 2019 Toyota Tundra, especially if we know that Tundra has always been a very attractive large truck. Even though there are planned to be changed in design for years to come, those changes are not as much visible as we expected. Together with softer edges of the truck and stylized grille, there will be the slightly increased size of the body frame of this car, made of better materials like metal steel and aluminum. The recognizable front end has rhomboidal shape with chromatic grids and large LED lights on the sides, with wide air intake on the bottom and small rounded fog lights. The rear end is softener and longer, with redesigned rear lights.
Even though current Tundra has greatly designed cabin and modern dashboard, there are chances that Toyota could change something in the cabin of 2019 Toyota Tundra, too. We are sure that they will use new infotainment system to follow strong customers’ demands, but the old equipment was not bad at all. As current model does not offer Apple Car Play, that should be changed now, together with new USB ports and 110-volt power outlet. There are predictions that new Tundra will have completely flat load floor.
It is possible to predict engines that could be placed under the hood of 2019 Toyota Tundra, according to all we know by now and other models made in this factory. That could be current engines, 4.6-liter V8 used in this model since 2010 and 5.7-liter V8, base engine since first Tundra has been made in 2007. There are chances that Toyota will use a 5.0-liter V8 engine that it already tried in Lexus, or even try with something stronger like GM did with their trucks and 6.5-liter V8 engine and its 420 horsepower of strength. If Toyota plans to increase towing capacity are true, the engine should follow those plans, too.
2019 Toyota Tundra Release Date and Price
If all of these are true, 2019 Toyota Tundra should be on the market until the end of 2018 for a base price of $50,000 which can go up to $60,000 in higher trims.
