2020 Toyota RAV4 comes after significant redesign made a few years ago, so we have not expected a lot of changes this time. However, they improved the model and made it even more attractive, aerodynamic, and useful. As they have made in the whole range of models, Toyota made RAV4 of lightweight materials and with improved technology, for more stability on the road and surely better fuel economy. All of this should be enough for the next generation of buyers, but together with that, they also changed a design of the cabin and equipment there.
2020 Toyota RAV4 comes as slightly redesigned, mostly in the front end for more aerodynamic and made of lightweight materials. There is still recognizable rhomboidal front end with thin grille separated on two with a wide metallic sheet. Below them are wide air intake and small fog lights on the sides. Front lights are irregularly shaped with LED frame as daily lights. The rear end is flat with a wide spoiler on the rear window and thin rear lights. Together with slightly sloped roof the car is large and has large cargo space, but looks boxier than another crossover, closer to Toyota 4Runner.
The biggest changes in 2020 Toyota RAV4 is supposed to be made in the cabin. Not only that it is redesigned and modernized now, it is also very functional and practical for everyday drive. However, there are also changed materials and much better-designed dashboard. Speaking about the dash, it is wide with large center part and touchscreen in the middle, covered with leather. Below it is only a few buttons and commands, and a little old-fashioned air vents. In terms of technology, there are things like air conditioning with air filters, Entune radio, Multimedia system, and backup camera.
The engine in 2020 Toyota RAV4 is changed for this model, so this time it is 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 175 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. It should be paired with six-speed automatic transmission without other versions. However, it is expected that the manufacturer will offer another hybrid version, like many other manufacturers, and make this model closer to the Toyota Highlander. Thanks to all improvements, lightweight chassis, better engine and transmission, RAV4 should be more economical and better driven.
2020 Toyota RAV4 Release Date and Price
The manufacturer has not said when to expect to release of 2020 Toyota RAV4, but that could be at beginning of 2019. However, the price of the car should not be much changed from the last model, and that is $27,000, a $2,000 more than for the last year model. That puts the car in the same range as the Toyota Tundra and Toyota Tacoma.
